The Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry) is a pre-apprenticeship course that will earn you credits to enter a full apprenticeship. Upon completion, you will be prepared to start an apprenticeship in your chosen area of construction and have more to offer site managers. You will also be able to assume different roles in a variety of building projects.

Apprenticeships in the carpentry, carpentry, painting and decorating, wall and ceiling lining, wall and floor tiling, solid plastering, or stonemasonry.
Course durations vary depending on the class selected by the participant.
Flexible, Offsite, or Classroom
Assessments are completed to measure your skills and knowledge against the training qualification requirements and those of the industry. The assessment process will include written and practical presentations, observation and classroom participation and will require some time away from the training rooms completing assignments and self-paced exercises online and through the development of a workplace portfolio of evidence.
